Going to make steering wheel. HELP!!!

ok im in machine shop and i decided to make a butterfly steering wheel. ok theres 3 holes on the karts steering shaft. i know the holes sizes. but what about the bolt hole position? they form a triangle.

Does this tell me what i need to know? idk what to look for.

Heres what i want to make.

Standard (3) 1/4" Bolt Holes on a 1-5/8" Bolt Circle

the dia of the circle is 1 5/8

so that means the bot holes are on a 1-5/8 dia circle ?

but that seems mighty small maybe it is the radius

see how many times one bolt hole will fit across the circle
if it is close to 6 then the 1 5/8 is the dia if it is close to double then it is the rad

id say dia. cause when i mathed it out. it looked about right

If you already have the hub, can you not use it as a template?

well it does not come off the kart. i do have the steering wheel i can base it off of. would that work?

if the wheel fits on the shaft correctly, you could use the steering wheel

I think you should put that on a flat surface and take a non-blurry pic!

It's hard to tell if it flat.
The butterfly wheel they have is horizontal while your has 45-50 degree legs making it more more of a square steering wheel.

How are you gonna get bike grips on that?

Get a can of plasti dip at Lowe's or Home Depot and dip both handles in it.
