At school i am building a gocart with a 80cc on it. this has been going well so fare, i got to take the first test drive yesterday. It was amazing and fast but the motor had so much torque that it bent the mount we made. the question is after i flatten it back down should i add more braising or use thicker metal?

After you straighten the metal back out it weakens it.that was your test pass and look what it did.next trip out on it your gonna wanna see what the kart will do so probably bend the mount or mounts again. If it was mine I would use thicker metal or put extra bracing on it.

Lets see some pics on this...
I have been a proponent of the pocketbikes being a weak engine...
I defiantly would like to see how much damage it has caused...
