new rear swing arm in place, not aligned, or finished, but photos to see....
I think it looks sweet, about 4 inches of travel at ride height, its about 7" if you get it airborne, which is why we did rear suspension (1 axle in the garbage)

the whole cart got about a 3" lift, which makes it look much meaner, even though the tires look too small, its still a beast. I lifted the front by altering the original shock mount, I also moved the top of the shock closer to straight up and down, which will give me a bit firmer ride (it was too soft before anyway)

this is a pic of the custom coil over shocks are from an 1991 s-10 front end, springs are the $20 load assist springs, I think the buckets are pretty darn nice as well, My brother in law fabbed those up, and they came out fantastic IMO. thnx for looking.

That thing looks BEASTY! Bet you have a lot of fun in that!

The front wheels look like they have positive camber though, might want to get that changed to 0 or slightly positive for better handling and less chance of a roll over.
Overall: AWESOME!

in that position the camber is as it should be. the kart is minus 60-100kgs of rider which will make the camber closer to 0

it IS REALLY HEAVY, it weighed in at 300lbs with engine before the rear suspension, so 350ish as an estimate, powered by a 17.5 tecumseh (500cc's), to a peerless 820 (garden tractor trans, not riding mower) it tops out at its current gearing at 45mph with gobs of torque to give away, not just spare. I will GIMP you a drawing of the driveline, there is no good way to get a clear photo.

about the front end, what modelengineer said, plus the driveway isn't flat there, so there was some extra odd articulation in the front end.

about being street legal, it already is, sort of. i got it street legal with a set of escort wheels/tires and put ATV tires on it, so it is and isn't. as you see it, no. but the laws in ohio are pretty lax about homemade cars, so its easier.

future engine plans are 700+CC snow mobile engine/trans if I find one for cheap. but as it is it will keep up with on a trail ride with most of the guys I run with. a race quad will eat it alive on power to weight, period, but it already will run with a 300 4x2 utility quad with 180lbs rider as fairly equal.. more pwer would only mean more money to fix broken parts.
