My old thread is closed so im making a new one.

Today i keyed my axel and yesterday i bought my disc brake caliper. I'll post pics soon.

Tomorow i hope to get the caliper mounted and add a tensionner. Possibly by the end of this week i will finish.

I made the tensionner and added spindles.

The tensionner has to be welded on yet. The spindles are made of 1" round bar that was drilled out to 1/2". The C brackets are made of 1 1/2" x 1/2" aluminum flatbar.

i can't find the cord to plug in the camera to the computer so no pics right now

ITS ALIVE!! I test rode it today. it goes really fast and im not even in full throtle yet. Having front wheel problems though. The bearings are really cheezy and 1 of em has locked up and theyre all getting pushed into the wheel hub. It didnt really help that i put lockwashers on lol. On side got really tight while the otherside losened. Ill get pics tomorow and mabe a video.

i had the same problem with my front wheels, i was using those cheap wheels that you see on hand trucks. i found another set in my grandfathers shed(he's got that much crap down there i was bound to find some thing), they were of an old ride on mower, and the've been good to me becuase there old and built to last, not some new rubbish. i can do them up really tight and ive never had a problem. what kind of wheels are you using?

Im using really cheap 15$ chinese wheels from princess auto. I resolved the problem by using nylocks instead and putting washers on both sides of the wheels. I also pumped up the tires.

Bad news... I hooked up the pedals (temporary hookup) and it all works fine but after i was done test driving it i realized the clutch was smoking and there was dust all over it. Any help?

Also on one of the front wheels the weld broke. I was lucky the wheel didn't just fly off. The good thing is that i'm going to machine a solid 1 piece steel hub.

yeah, the clutch shouldn't smoke. Clean the pads inside with some solvent or something...
