Hi all, I own two go karts that I have for my grandkids. I finally got the second one finished for the older kids and I cannot get it to go. I have read some of the member's replies to other people and realize it must be a sprocket ratio problem. I'll tell you what I have: A good centrifugal clutch with a 14 tooth sprocket on an 8 HP motor, A 52 tooth sprocket on a live axle with 20 inch tall tires on a one person frame. What do I need to do to solve this. I do not want to go to a belt system. Thanks, dennydwk

52÷14=3.71:1

You need to be around 6:1 ratio.
If you get a 10 tooth cc then your at a 5.2:1
That would help alot.
If you could get a 9 tooth cc then your at 5.7:1
