Hey guys, i am brand new to this forum. I have recently decided to take up the long process of making a go-kart. But the thing about the go-kart that i am building is that it has a bodykit, thus the frame is hidden, and it has gears, and a handbrake. And it has headlights, brake lights and indicators. And it has a radio, both communications and fm/am. And it has a racing seat, and a custom exhaust system with a sweet muffler. And the engine MAY have a turbocharger if the Rhino 440 Quad Bike engine does not give me enough power. It should be awesome fun, and i was wondering where everyone lived in case they were close to me and could help out. Either that or if you have any tips on how to make a working go-kart. And i warn you because i am going to go very fast in this rig. And it will be airbrushed red, with a custom number plate and custom badges to signify ownership. I was wondering if anyone knew where to get cheap parts that are not going to break as soon as you put your foot down onto the floor. Thanks a tonne, LUCAS.

I have decided to not get any custom badges for my go-kart car. As they are $300 - $400 AUS dollars EACH!!! So yeah that means a better racing seat, and maybe a prefabbed frame (then again that ruins the whole aspect of karting). JC

Your looking to put registration on this aren't you?
Height regulations might be hard to get by. You can see other motorists, but they cannot see you.

And If you want to do a good job of it, and drive it too, don't bother airbrushing-get it powdercoated. It may be expensive but it's durable.

he probably figured it'd be easier for you to say where you live than to have everyone else say where they live to see who's close to you.

YAY, another person in Sydney!

I'm in Killara.

The kart sounds great, but you won't need a turbo. Too much effort, and it will be extremely difficult to get a turbo small enough. 440cc with 5/6 speed will be plenty. Probably beat my 500cc because mine is really heavy (and doesn't have wheels atm...)
