I have had my go kart for a while now and it is pretty old probably older than me. But any way the tires are dry rotting and isn’t very good. The inner tubes are sticking out and all that. The tire size is 145/70-6 and those don’t have anything that seems to be 145 in inches more like 14.4 but there is no” .” On it. Any help would be great.

It's a 6" rim and I think they are about 5 or 6" wide. Height wise that's about 15". You can find tires searching the 145/70-6 on Amazon or you can also find them searching 15*5*6.

I have those, they are less than 14" tall...(close, but not quite. )

Just go to Amazon and search 145/70 -6 tires. You can get them cheap .

If your rims are in good shape, that and 6" tubes are all you need.

I just love newbie rookies dishing out advice when they are clueless , heck, I don't know his gear ratio, why would you recommend taller tires when you don't, either?

And 145/70-6 means they fit a 6" tall rim, NOT a 6" wide rim, actually probably around 3/12- 4" wide.

Yeah thats a metric tire size. Bob580 explains it in this post. 145/70-6 comes up with plenty of results on ebay or something though

I figured they where his front tires.

Assume nothing. I only gave him information pertaining to the tires he mentioned.
If you notice I said if your rims are in good shape.....

The OP made no distinction between the front or rears, my kart has them on all 4, many do.

It wasn't the worst advice given on this thread, but we do take pride in giving the correct advice.
