Go kart stalling

Alright so I have a go kart and it idles fine and you can drive it if you barely press the throttle, Amy more than that it will stall. Any idea what would be causing it to do that?

Dirty carb (clogged jets)?
Intake leak?

Get it running, maybe lifted up on blocks so it doesn’t run away…

Spray some starting fluid around the gasket surface on the engine side of the carb. Not the air filter side. Listen to hear if the RPMs change. If the fluid finds a leak, you’ll hear the rpm’s change.

If a different carb than original, or different jetting… then it might need tuning.

You can try running it with the choke on to see if it improves. If improved with choke, it implies too much air or not enough fuel. Could be air leak (too much air). Could need larger jetting (not enough fuel).
