Hello,

I was trying to start my go kart when the pull start gave out on me and broke. I took it off and looked at it to try and determine what was wrong. I couldn't figure it out so I decided I would buy a new one. However, when I was looking for a new one I couldn't find one that matched with the one I had. If someone could help me find a replacement part that would be awesome. Thank you!

Post a few pictures, you may not need to buy a new one. What engine brand, model, type, serial number did this come off?

Most recoils are pretty simple. A bolt, spring, then wire coil put under tension. Then there is the rope and handle.

Google up how to fix yours....I'm guessing it is a Briggs, and if so....can be pricey.

Repair is usually not that hard...(with knowledge) ....but we can't help you either way without more information.

I see the unwound spring through the hub, If spring has its ends, you just need a rope, and tabs that hold pulley.

there should be a few extra metal tabs that was unused, or nylon pads that hold pulley down, and a compression spring.

Those dam things can scream like no tomorrow, clutch recoils! holley ****, turn it off! Lmao A briggs starter clutch is gotta be the loudest most annoying noise ever!
