Lights installed
Yesterday the lights came, and we installed them on the kart. Thanks Fabroman for explaining how the LEDs work. For now we use the little battery packs that came with them. They are easily removable to take inside for charging after the ride. If they last long enough, I may not place the larger 12v on the kart. If not, I've learned the additional resisters I need to step the voltage down will cost less than $1 at Radio Shack.
As you can see, the kart is all muddy due to my boy riding just after the rain. Also, we still need to take the time to make a permanent seat.
It's been so fun to see him gain confidence behind the wheel. The first ride he was petrified, now he's not happy unless he's drifting around corners.
