Go Kart on Fantasy Factory

Did anyone see this? It's episode one of the new season of Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory on MTV2.

I want to replicate this chassis and put my GX390 on it.

Most all race kart brands manufactured in the last 25 years look very similar to your pic. Lots of racers are selling off their stuff nowadays, you could probably shop around and find an older/used complete rolling chassis priced as low as $100.

that thing looks like fun it would be a great project to make your own racing style frame throw on some turf tires and a low gear then go out and pop some wheelies!:wai:

Yeah, that has to be a clone engine. My dad has that same engine on a kart for my little brothers. They are $99 through Harbor Freight.

Why you would spend over 1k on a chassis and 100 on an engine boggles my mind but, whatever.

@anderkart - I've been looking a lot and can't seem to find anything similar at that price point so, if you happen to see something, please share!

Man, I want that chassis..

Start doing craiglist searches in all the towns around you that you'd drive to for a bargain. Use all the diferent spelling search terms: go kart, gokart, go cart and gocart. You gotta check the ads several times a day because the true bargains usually get snapped up (and the ad deleted) within an hour of being posted.

You should also try posting your own craiglist ads titled Wanted: Race Kart.

Also do some research and see If any of the towns around you have a go kart race track. Many kart tracks have their own web sites with classified sections... Lots of tracks have closed down in the last few years, plus many racers cant afford to race anymore and end up dumping their gear for way less than its worth. (I recently bought an older complete Dino roller w/a KT100 engine, kart stand and a race kart starter for $100)

I'll keep my eyes pealed for any bargains in your area, what part of Missouri are you located?

Probably about a $1000 if you bought all new race-quality components.
ps: That chassis is an Offset/RTO kart made for left turn only oval racing. You'd probably be better off buying a chassis made for tracks with both right and left turns, these are commonly referred to as Sprint Karts.
