Hi yalls. I have a bit of a weird problem. I just swapped a brand new predator 212 into da go kart and it was working great for about ten minutes. When the issue started, the kart would accelerate slow, then when it reached higher end speeds it would take off and drive great. Now it wont accelerate past about 8 miles per hour despite being full throttle. I am running a torque convertor on it. It is a brand new engine so I dont think that is the problem, the only thing I can think of is the torque convertor not engaging properly however when I watch it while driving it seems to be engaging realtively normally. Any help would be very much appriated.

What does the belt look like? The cheap belts that the kits come with don’t last long (10-30 minutes max). Only use Genuine Comet Belts!!! You may want to start looking for one now. Most other brands suck.

Does the motor have an oil sencer...... and if so.....did you disconnect it?
I'm using a pretty new belt, albeit not comet. I'll try a new one to see if that helps, thanks!

Naw, I would never beat a woman or child with a belt! Although a Comet brand would take the abuse! And don’t ever hit an animal around me either or you’ll know what it feels like to be a piñata.
