I have an old go Kart I don't know who made it or how old it is, if I had to take a guess, I would say 80's or 90's it to me looks like it's a 3 wheel one, if anyone happens to know what kind it is let me know, but it's not important, it isn't going to be a Go Kart for long, I am going to turn it into a trailer to pull behind my Manco as well as a Buggy Go Kart.

I am going to make it a nice little trailer mostly for fun, it is going to have a nice wooden metal bed after I'm done with it.

Be hilarious if it turned out to be something rare and valuable that you hacked up. You made a very contradictory statement. 🤯

That steering setup is really neat. That and the whole thing appears to be well-made whatever it is. Can you turn it over and photograph the underside?

I will take more photos of it today, personally I've done research on it, I've had it for a decade I haven't seen anything that close to it at all. It also won't really be much of a hack job the steering I only need to cut the base holding the steering shaft on and that could be welded back on if need be, but I'm not too worried about it. The rest of the steering looks like it just bolts on where the hitch pin will go is a bolt that comes out so no modification needed there. Then I'll just be removing the chewed up aluminum plate that is the floor panel, remove the brake lever from the front do some painting to it, add the wood decking to it, new tires etc and it's about done as a trailer.

It's from a dystopian "Mad Max" era. That is what the girl with the boomarang drove and has been transplanted back to the past.

My two cents worth (two corroded zinc pennies 🙃) would be to start a go kart trailer build with a clean(er) slate. And if not a total ground-up fabrication, I’d consider using one of those mini trailers they tow behind Honda Goldwings 🏍️… and custom-mod one…

Or start with the smallest trailer they sell at Hazard Fraught (4ft x 4ft) or an ATV/UTV trailer… or a lawn and garden utility trailer. Just starting with the frame or copying the basic design from one of those would be grand.

And before anyone balks at a go kart trailer, the large frame Manco Dingoes (390, 388 model series I think) came with a factory trailer hitch because they were crossing into utility vehicle territory and people used them on farms and ranches.
