Go kart is hard to start when cold why

Hi,
Its a older Yerf dog go kart with a 6.5 engine. Its extremely hard to start when cold, but when warmed up start right up. what could it be?

What temp is cold, every engine struggles to start when its cold, as its harder for the mixture to burn, nothing to worry about in my opinion.

If Your Talking like 1*c then you may have a problem. But if your talking about -6*C or sumthing it will just be what Kieran Said !

Engine make was not specified. If it is a clone, 5w-30 should be used when below freezing...10w-30when above freezing. Avoid oils which have a 40 grade rating (such as 15w-40) unless manual specifically calls for it.
Some engine manufacturers will void warranty if a 40 grade oil is used.

I had the same problem with my clone. It just wasn't getting enough fuel.

Check the sediment cup if it is not full with fuel, then turn the fuel on/off valve on and see if any fuel comes out. If there is very little then check the fuel line, the fuel on/off valve, and right inside the tank for blockage.

If there is not blocakge, loosen the screws that hold the top plate on the fuel on/off valve a little (not too much). That's what I did and it worked, problem solved.
