I have Yerf-dog 3203 and changed the engine with a predator engine. I just did the swap and have been riding the cart lightly because I'm breaking in the engine so i usually just cruise at the lowest speed on the cart. Anyways everything was going great and then all of a sudden my cart wont take off at all, the driver and driven are aligned correctly and i even took them off after i noticed this to clean them and also lowered the idle. It didn't change much when i put everything back together and i am trying to find out why its the belt is slipping at low speeds. If i push the cart to running speed i can get it running fine but from a stop i cant take off normally? it just takes off really slow. Anyone have any ideas?
Edit: also, the belt is new

You swapped engines, did it throw off the distance between the driver and driven unit? The distance between the 2 is very important for proper operation.

Oh! I don't have the the chaingaurd backing plate but that sounds like the culprit, I measured the centers and it read 7 inches, what is it supposed to be ?

Do you know what model your torque converter is? Post a pic of it if you can.

Is your converter spinning up and the belt adjusting, but you go nowhere?

If so you might have the same problem I had this weekend. A sheared key in the sprocket on your jackshaft. Friction against the spacer washers allowed to run for a while but not after it heated up. It steadily got worse.

You can take off the chain or jack up the rear wheel and see if you can get the small sprocket to spin on the shaft.
