Theres this one website (www.gokartguru.com) and it has something you can buy that tells you how to use a vertical engine on a go kart. Has anyone bought this book? If so is it any good? Ive had a few ideas like using a differential as the vertical to horizontal gearbox but im not sure.

Never seen the site before, it looks very very gimmicky. The kart and slogan on the front regarding you being able to sell that cheap looking one seater kart for 1500 dollars seems like a joke. We couldn't sell that thing at the shop for 300 very quickly, it would sit around while I sold name brand karts for 500-700 all day long.

I really do mean no ill will to Robert Gamble, but these things should be free knowledge, not hoarded for profit. Does anyone remember Smee? He ran a kart site with 50x more information about building karts from scratch (he made parts in a foundry often).

The free information he is offering is a good start. I highly doubt anyone who is mechanically inclined enough to construct a kart for that price would need any sort of book... most of what I can see is just laughable and one ply after another....

Engine-All is absolutely fantastic in that not only will make your engine not wear out, but because the engine is now being “built back up” it runs cleaner, smoother, cooler and uses LESS gas (or diesel!). That’s right: you will see at least a 5% to 10% increase in fuel economy!

Does anyone see a problem with that? If you're running a business be upright with that, don't lie and pretend you are giving help just so you can sell another product and get commission....

Hi, Go Kart Guru here, it is not my practice to advertise on this site,...but I felt compelled as critics can sit back in their arm chairs and rail at something they have not fully investigated, that I should at least defend the site.

First, no one is twisting your arm to buy this product. If you don't like it, send it back, it has 100% guarantee.

Second, I have had one guy complain about the product in the beginning, but then he put it into practice and said profusely "wanted to let you know that the vertical engine drive design that I previously complained about does work and wanted to apologize for coming off ungrateful.... So thanks for saving me the $700 plus for the clutch setup and the $300 for the horizontal shaft engine!"

There are issues with a vertical engine drive that need to be addressed, the vertical engine drive and accompanying books address numerous drive train issues to so that you don't end up frustrated and smoking components or spending a lot of money.

Engine-all is not a product that is gimicky or fake. It is a factual product, backed up with testing. Unfortunately because oils that are on the market are so varied and "cheap" enginall is not offered as an additive any more.

The full oil product is available and I am in the midst of getting the web page changed.

And finally, I don't get kick backs for any mention of their product. I just think it is a great product and does what it set out to do...reduce friction, increase compression, and horsepower.

Every engine that runs this product gets a reduction in temperature, due to the friction dropping. From large diesels to simple gear boxes, this product pulls through.

I can explain it in more detail if you want...but I don't want to be selling here, just wanted to point out we are not gimmicky or liars on our site.

Why should someone spend their money on a book to convert a vert. shaft motor? Several people on this site have already done it and are perfectly willing to share this knowledge for free.

.

I do. He was a great wealth of (FREE!!!) knowledge, sadly he just disappeared after a while.

guru just sounds like he wants to make money. off scamming kids

In some places, that's called enterprising. I'm not condoning anything here, but caveat emptor. There certainly is something to be said about doing your homework before purchasing anything. This forum is a prime example of the great wealth of pre-purchase onfo available- there's no excuse for not researching something first.I don't know what this fella sells, nor do I care. His products/services may be legit, they may be snake oil, but-

If I offer to sell you a left-handed spoon, and you're willing to pay for it, you got it coming, whether it's a good spoon or not. One needs to make informed decisions! And before you say "kids" again, any "kid" making online purchases, maybe ought not be.

I'm still confused on this Engine-All stuff.

Here is your page.

I Googled "engine-all" if this was the magic product that is suggested shouldn't it have popped up in the search on the first 5 pages? Seriously, Google would tell me right?

I think that people should share what they know. Its not fair to try and make money off something that everyone should be able to get. Its like charging someone for the air they breath! Well its not that but still.

Using vertical shaft engines is a lot easier than most thing, however you do need some basic knowledge. You'll have to make a 90* motor mount, rotate the carb, make an oil dipper, and figure out a new way to check the oil level/new oil fill hole.

Go Kart Guru seems like a some dude who just wants to make some cash...most of his stuff looks like ****.

I think your plans look great. Your bat-mobile came out amazing, and your very honest about your plans. This gokartguru guy just claims to have the answer to everything, and is trying to sell guides on building basic stuff. Your plans are for specific, well designed go karts, that took you quite a while to build.

Hes selling "books" on how to build wood go karts, for 16 bucks, and TBH they look pretty unsafe. Just take a look around his site.

I have removed the Engine-All site stuff, thanks for reminding me. I will be getting its replacement up in a few weeks.

It was a product, but was removed, like I said before, because of complications in application. IE the oils that are available, even your top end oils, are combinations of animal fats, and petroleum distiliates in order to make the full spectrum of temperatures and friction environments.

The substitute or replacement product uses a high quality oil while having the blend performed already.

Nuff said. Sorry about the confusion.

I still stand behind my stuff, with a 100% guarantee... no one is forcing you to buy or even think about left handed spoons here... you can glean information from the blog, or from the site, or from the NewsLetter...your choice.
