Go Kart Engine and ID Help needed

Hi,

I'm a newcomer to karting and I'm interested in racing but at the moment I am just driving yard karts. I have recently bought 2 karts one with a 6.5hp Honda Clone engine and one that currently doesn't have an engine but I would like to put a Clone engine on it. I would like to know the make of both my karts and I need some help putting an engine on one of them. I'm pretty sure the second kart (the red one) is an arrow kart but I'd like to know which model and I want to put a clone engine on it but can't seem to put one on. Here are some pics.

Thats limited room you have there brother.
You cart may not hold a big motor.
Why cant you try fitting in a 100 cc 4 speed manual??
Add an extra pedal for the clutch.
Put your gear shifters behind the steering like paddle shift.
It will look quite fancy, but you need to have patience.
If youre interested, I l send u a idea of how to make the paddle shift idea work.

First one shows a clone installed... itll fit....

Really dirt cheap motorcycle engines arent aplenty here in N,America.....

I agree.. but the red one definitely is a two stroke chassis!
(sprocket outside)
the black one is definitely a four stroke chassie (sprocket inside the frame rails and it's a bit longer behind the seat to accommodate the bigger engine)

Sometimes it's as easy to convert as moving the sprocket between the axle hangers;
Sometimes that doesn't work (since the chain's hitting the seat struts or some corssbar)
And sometimes a clone engine (since it's wider than a std issue 100cc kart engine)
just doesn't fit next to the seat properly (four stroke chassis move the engine back a bit to make room, that's why they're longer).

I can't tell which case applies here, but by the pic.. I'm not too optimistic that you can fit the four stroke on your red one.

But since you have both, the engine and the chassis.. it's as easy as unbolting the engine from the black one and testfitting it on the red to see for sure.

if it doesn't fit, you'll need to weld (and ruin the integrity of the chassis) or you need to sell and get a different one...
or you'll need to live with it and get a proper racing kart engine (that can be expensive though)

Ok bro...over here I had a few friends who built a gokart for diploma final year project from the Automobile department. The chassis was almost the same...they mounted a 110 cc Honda CVT beside the seat bro..that was solid 9 hp .I got a few pictures..I l search nd put them on here...see what you guys think about that.

Your red kart does appear to one of the older Arrow kart models. You could try emailing some pics plus any frame numbers you find to them for Identification.

You could run a 6.5 Honda Clone on your red kart if you added a jackshaft like the pic I've posted below:

Like you said I was thinking of putting the sprocket in between the two axle hangers and then putting an aluminium plate on the motor mount to leave the motor sticking out a little... Could it work?

it might.. but then again.. it's nearly impossible to tell without trying, especially from a pic.

Personally I haven't seen such mounts with jackshafts like anderkart posted..
and if I had to make a guess... it'd be that that's your best bet; with $250 it's maybe not the cheapest way though..

So IDK... maybe give it a try without
(it's really as simple as resting the engine on the motor mounting rails, and see where the chain would have to go with a straight edge).
If it looks like it'd work... just move the sprocket and call it a day (buying just an engine plate).
And if it doesn't you know what to do as well
