Go kart electric help and engine help

i currently own an older carter brothers model 2 seater. the guy before me updated the engine from a 5hp to a 6hp snow blower engine and when you pull the cord to start it just takes off and to stopit from taking off you have to hold it until you can jump in at the right time and hit the breaks. does anybody know how i can fix this???

also is there any way i can build a homemade electric start for it??
and does anybody know of a place or person that could give me free headlights?

You may only need to lower your engines idle speed to fix that "taking off" problem. (if the engine is idling too fast, its normal for a centrifugal clutch to start engaging)

Post what brand and model engine you have and we might be able to help you out with your electric starter.

I was truly amazed to find a google search actualy turned up 4 diferent sources advertising free headlights.
