go kart axle to short

So my go kart axle is to short the tires I have on it now are smaller but it's really low to the ground but if I put any bigger tires it rubs my engine. Could I would something to make it larger or is there something cheaper I can replace it with rather than an actual axle since they are expensive

If possible, maybe provide some pictures of this problem. It will probably get you an answer or advice quicker.
