He said not a word so i used many instead.

That one overflowed my stack.

Too much rain in Texas, about all we could film this weekend were some interiors at an arcade with some awesome classic arcade games!

No crew next weekend so we're prepping for the big Memorial Day weekend away shoot. Way behind schedule. This summer we're going to have to boogy. I mean put it on the back burner and really cook!

Sid mentioned it over in my post... but I thought I'd throw it over here.

At the end of the season/show... get all dark on us Dennis... and make the final episode where some crazed kid finds this... and... well... you know what happens.

MUA HA HA HA!

Kartstine! I actually have kicked that idea around. Would be fun to crush it in a green screen press then replay in reverse to watch it "rebuild" itself. Mua ha ha ha!

If filming the trailers doesn't kill me first...which it might.

We are about half-way done filming 3 episode trailers. The rain we had in April/May put us considerably behind schedule. As a result, we have to cut the Bullitt episode for now. Not being able to keep the original schedule, I lost some staff, crew and cast. There were also a few incidents that briefly turned this action/adventure into a drama:-/

The good news…I have not given up! I am still filming, running the camera myself. ..my equipment is not as quality as the former crew’s was but I am getting great shots, actually better shots and it goes faster because it’s easier for me to do it myself than explain what I want (some director huh?)

I have rough edited what we have together and it looks pretty good! As we move ahead, scene by scene and I can schedule it with what actors I have left (most of them), I will fill in the gaps until we have enough to tell the story. Still looking at a fall release for the 3 episodes…maybe one a month…September, October, November, heavily pushing merchandise sales in time for Christmas ;) ;) to fund or at least prove the business model for the real series.

More has gone right with this project than wrong and I have met and worked with some really interesting and talented people. I have accomplished some AMAZING things and had some great bucket list worthy experiences like building 10 or so go-karts in just over a year, witnessing my lines acted out before me, seeing the 20+ year imaginations become real locations, crashing barricades, using real construction sites, shutting down city streets for a real car chase with my childhood star car heroes…it just goes on and on.…if only I wasn’t so busy I could enjoy them more.

Thank you all for following along. You keep me encouraged!!

Season 2 idea. "Gone in 60 seconds 2" Build Eleanor then go around and steal a butload of Karts. I thinkin Desert demon 1 and 2, the alumiflyer, and that orange Rupp Dart #21,"Sarge", the 2013 and 2014 build off winners. and anything else you can find at next years Go powers ports swap meet. Then we can beat the crap out of some of our own karts on TV. That will end the naysayers on UTube. You tube is a mean nasty place for comments anyway. This forum has more class in Poboys baby toe nail than all of googles Utube anyway.

How about a "Death Race" style episode? Several sick knarly looking karts racing around a junkyard shooting paintballs at each other....I could dig it.

That's what we do in these parts... :)

Good chance one of these suckers will end up in one of GKA's episodes... that is, if I ever get down there.

Hey y'all! I haven't fallen off the face of the earth! The series continues to challenge me but there is light at the end of the tunnel...and I don't think it's a train!

Since my last post I've had a major life change. After nearly 16 years with the same company I found myself out of a job! Laid Off! Downsized! Initially I thought this would be great for Go-Kart Alley, time-wise. But, it (and the previous pitfalls of production) worked on my psyche more than I thought it would, the part where creativity and vision come from apparently. After 16 years going to the same place every day doing the same thing I got institutionalized, to quote Shawshank Redemtion. But that's getting better. My wife is bringing home enough bacon and I have a few employment options coming into place. I've had to convince myself it's okay to work full time on Go-Kart Alley. And that's what I'm doing until it's finished!

Production has not ceased, just slowed to a crawl at times, but still moved forward. We're down to the final few scenes of Rockford and Dukes. Their rough edits are looking like the real thing! After next weekend Bandit will be too. I've had some actors move away and so I'm trying to figure out how to cheat and round those storylines.

Next weekend is a HUGE shoot, most of the chase scenes from Bandit. I've brought in some professional help to make sure it goes better than my last big shoot...I don't want that discouragement again.

Here's a little something from last weekend...

Here's a little something I did on a dare and dang it if I didn't get picked.

Oh yeah! It's half written already! Based on an actual childhood fantasy/idea of mine...it's gonna be awesome! Not slated until season 2 though...gonna need a lot of budget for that one...and Road Warrior!

Yes! That one too! Based on the original GI60s! Let me get through these 3 and we'll see how many hairs I have left.:mad2::lolgoku:
