i did that on my first go kart..if you ever get the wheels off just hold a grinder at like a 45 degree angle and go around about a 1/4 inch of the threads or till you get to the none f***ed threads..real easy fix.takes about 5 minutes just make sure you take even metal off all around the spindle

Just gotta get that dang wheel off!!! Any ideas how to get it off?? it is stuck on there good. I put some (a lot) of WD-40 on it to lubricate it before pulling on it. It is really rusted on there tight.

sideways

Unfinished projects king.

Did we give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor!!?!!?

It was the Japanese that bombed pearl harbour and you weren't really involved in the war until they did that, you were just mostly staying out of it. That triggered your large involvement in the war.

Stupidest move the Japanese ever could of done, the out come of the war would of been very different if they hadn't of did that.

Thanks

Hayden

This is why parents need to pay attention to what teachers are teaching their kids in school!!! and you thought you would never use that history stuff again about pearl harbor being bombed but here we are on the go kart forum talking about it. We were supplying the allied powers with war supplies and protecting the allied ships in dangerous waters, we repealed the neutrality act long before declaring war. Once the JAPANESE attacked us at Pearl Harbor then Germany and Italy declared war on us. We then returned the favor along with the USSR, Cuba, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua. The Senate vote was unanimous the house vote had only one opposition to the declaration of war.

Nice history lesson!

Umm, guys, he was quoting the movie Animal House. John Belushi's (Brother Bluto) famous rant to get the rest of the fraternity pumped to go out and get revenge for getting kicked out of school.

"NOTHING IS OVER UNTIL WE DECIDE IT IS! WAS IT OVER WHEN THE GERMANS BOMBED PEARL HARBOR???!!!! HELL NO!!!!!"

"Germans?"

"Forget it, he's rolling."

"AND IT AINT OVER NOW!!!"

Before going crazy trying to make that generator motor work on that kart, check to see which direction the driveshaft spins when it is running - you may be stuck going backwards... Also, You will need some type of a spring mechanism for the throttle, and there is the clutch issue.

I have that same kart. I put on a 169cc Subaru Robin motor with a Comet 30 TC. Lots of fun!

If it's the same as my kart, the center bolt does not remove the tire/rim from the axel. It is the 4 smaller bolts that go through the rim!

I agree that you should keep trying to work on the old Briggs motor. EDIT -- or did I just read that you have a 6.5 hp motor now?

Well my brother wants to build a 6.5 hp motor chopper now so he went off and got a stingray chopper and has started modifying it already, we bought the 6.5hp motor together. I wanted to finish building the go kart. so we are playing tug of war. The rear tires dont have 4 smaller bolts through them they are tubeless tires and I got one off but the other is on there tight as a mother. I am taking it over to my fiances house today. Her dad is an Engineer for NASA he has lots of shiny tools :idea2: that I can use to get that wheel off with.

I do know the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor.

Thats crazy that a guy from austrailia knows more about our history than some of our own people.... well i guess its just sad.

I do know what actually happened.

It's from a movie, not my stupidity.

Thank you Metal. I guess they don't have Animal House in Aus? And Airsoft_Warrior, I don't think you are old enough to see this movie.

Nope never saw it. Saw animal farm based off of Orwells book. That was a good movie. but that was in history class in 11th grade.

So I used a wheel puller on the wheel. Would not budge. Tried heating it too... nothing. looks to be pretty bad shape for this one.:ack2:
