Getting kart ready to ride

I am in the process of cleaning and going over everything before I let my kids have at it. So far, I made new seats, pulled and cleaned the D. clutch, ran kill switch wire in wire loom & installed switch. Up next will be pulling D. unit and cleaning, than working on a list of parts to have on hand.


List so far I (think) would need.

1 - Manco Throttle cable
2 sets - Manco brake and throttle pedal springs
2 sets - Brake Pucks, manual caliper
* 10 pack - 5/8" ID sealed bearings (think better buy rather than buying 4)
* 2 - 1" hex axle bearings
* 4 - 2 hole flangettes
* 1 - green drive spring
* 1 set -20/30 series garter springs ( look pretty bad)
* 2 sets - insert buttons
* 1 set - yellow comet springs

* first items, I figure since I have no clue how old they are.
If this seems Over-kill, please let me know.

I have to take pic's of kart still and will post them later.
Think I am going to run to HF, since a bug was placed in my ear about New a motor...

Pic's of kart

Made pillow style seats with Marine grade vinyl . Should compress after few hours of riding. Still have to undercoat sheet metal and secure to the backs.

Tires came on the cart. Was told bigger fronts added for clearance and front right has a slow leak.

Power washed all the steering and have to lube all the ball joints and apply Lucas oil white lithium grease to all metal to metal joints.

grab a can of WD-40 Specialist Dry lube for T. Convertor parts.

STA-Bil to add to gas.
Wanted to pull carb and tank to clean, but would need to get new gaskets first.

Think that's all I did so far.
