Getting it Street Legal in Montana

SOOooo ........ been reading a lot ... came across this. People who live in Texas ( and maybe others ) can have their Kart registered as Street Legal In Montana ( online ) and drive it in your home state legally. Sounds too good to be true. Hope it is. Yet to find out. Has anyone done this.? 1st link is .....

The darn special exceptions gotcha! Odd to me how some states have open UTV laws (my home state, North Carolina) and others have a no-go rule. Though I highly doubt I could get any go kart legal here, the SXS rule is under 55... cue Sammy Hager... not sure I remember right or they may have changed it... laws are confusing...

Just don't try to register it in Florida. You have to prove it can do 25 mph, but it's not able to go over 35 mph. Even if you pass that, you can never run it on a street with anything above a 35mph speed limit. Average speed limit around here is 40 mph, except in your own little neighborhood enclave, where your neighbors will call the police on you if you've opened up the exhaust for performance.
The Cure: Buy a 50-acre piece of property outside of the city.
