Can some odyssey users tell me about the 1984 honda odyssey. Heres a couple things I want to know. Whats the fuel to oil ratio, how long can you run a honda odyssey before it overheats, how fast does it go. Stuff like that.
Book says 20 : 1 but that is when oil was crap. I run 32 : 1 in my odyssey and I think its almost to much oil. Start at that and just watch your plug, if you start fouling them out then run a little less oil. Most guys run anywhere from 32 to 1 to 50 to 1.
More like 45 to 50. You can but the 7" driven clutch and get up to 75.
No mater what you do to an Odyssey you will only do about 50mph if using the stock Ody's reduction/trans unit. You just get to 50 quicker. The Ody's gears only let you go so fast.
My almost stock ody's top speed is 50. My 35 horse sled ody's top speed is 50 as well. Also 50 on an Ody off road is pretty scary with no suspension.
I think your right about the speed . I don't think able to get mine to top out . It seemed like the tires were spining the whole time . But you could power slid for days . Most vids i've seen of moded odyssey don't go any faster but they get there quiker . 50 in the woods will let you know if your a storm troper or a jedi .
Do not ever. and I say EVER try to take the woop de doos on a Odyssey. LOL..
The best basic mod you can do is a comet clutch. It really opens up the engine. The Salsbury Ody clutch is made to slow you down. A comet clutches a bigger carb and pipe really wakes them up. You got to remember when these were made it was right in the end of the three wheelers and saftey times. The clutches detuned them bigtime to slow them down.
