Hello-My grandson & I went thru a 1987 Robron Go Kart /Rocket Roadster (yard kart) cleaning the carb and gas tank, putting on new rear tires & tubes, and re-greasding the wheel bearings. He loved getting his hands dirty & using wrenches. It was his first experience being able to drive something that was powered & he was thrilled.
That kart is now for sale & we are progressing to a 2006 Ultramax racing kart which will allow more speed & aggressive driving.
I've been lurking on this site for awhile & picked up some valuable information.

:welcome2:

I think it's great when the youngsters get in & get their hands dirty; so many kids these days are only interested in their electronic toys & game consoles. How old is your grandson?

It's never too late for bonding like that. I did a project with my grandfather (Man, I miss him) when I was in my early 20's and it is still a very fond memory.

Georgia Introduction Pics

Here are 2 pics of our yard kart rebuild project. Thanks to MfgSupply for the parts we used to get it roadworthy.
