Awesome, have a good day.

With a 6hp Tecumseh you won't be able to achieve gearing that will ever spin out the tires or sling mud and achieve 25mph. I was attempting to help you out with the gear calculator knowing full well you have a Torque Converter giving you told me you have a Manco 485, if it was using a standard centrifugal clutch it would be a 475.

So basically, your 485/Red Fox II/Gold Class II, LXT, etc model kart will not do what you want it to unless you buy a larger motor or gear the kart to basically do 10mph on top speed.

that helps a little more, thanks. it use to have a torque converter but the driven is distroyed so i just put a centrifical until i get the money for a torque converter what size motor do you think could achieve spinning the tires with that decent speed.

About a 500cc street bike motor that's geared low. How did you trash your driven and why didn't you try to fix it?

Bike engine, no doubt. Mine has a 500cc streetbike motor and it spins the wheels on dirt through 4th gear and has a reasonable top speed of 130 kph. 0-100kph ~5.5 secs, no industrial engine even comes close.

I'd go for a 250cc though, unless you find a bigger one cheap.

0-60mph in 5.5 is good for most production cars, probably scary in a kart.
