i will soon be getting a vintage racing kart

a 13hp gx390 with a 40series TC will be going on this kart.
The tires i am getting are 11inch i think.
the TC has a 10 tooth on it. i weigh 130 not sure about the kart,
what would the sprocket on the axle need to be?
i would like a nice top speed but lots of acceleration.
Any Ideas? :wai:

RESTORE IT! That's a Sears Orange Krate! Not a racing kart, just a sporty yard kart. Great find! Ahh, my youth revisited...

Put a Tecumseh on it and sell it to me for big money!

Check the ID plate behind the seat. Get us a photo.

With Governor in? Or no?

Tell Me how fast you want to go and if you are really set on 11" tires.
I'd go with bigger tires for multiple reasons, including greater top speed.

If you are set on 11", then with a governor I might even go as low as a 30 tooth on the axle.
