ok, the bigger one will give you more power, i recomend taking the 72 off the motor and putting the clutch on the motor, if possible. 72/36 is 2 to 1 72/14 5.14 to 1. then 12 to 72 is 6 to 1 definatly go with the 36 and if thats not eneugh power go with a different set up on the motor.

i cant change the wheel its 72 then up to my 12-14 tooth clutch on the jackshaft across to either a 36 tooth or 14 tooth and then down to 72 on the motor in my pics the small gear that is shown is the one i can change between the 14 or 36.

yes i have a clutch i have now put a 36 tooth gear on the motor and 36 on the jackshaft and a 12 tooth clutch on the other side of the jackshaft all are new and the 72 tooth gear on the wheel and it still starts just fine if i jack it up the wheel screams (and immediately broke my brand new clutch) but if i leave the wheels on the ground it goes nowhere and im lost ????????

i had a clutch for the engine it has a 1 inch shaft and is expensive it did the same thing as its doing now so i went back to the 3/4 clutch because it is about half price.

the way all my math adds up i just have too much top end and not enough torque to get it started but i cant find anywhere that has a gear calculator with a jackshaft so im not sure if it adds up correctly or not

didve the negine sproket and the sproket on the jack shaft that runs to, then the other sproket on the jack shaft to the sproket on the wheel, then you use those in concideration to the wheel somehow., but with the same gearing on the engine and jack ahft it should not matter how tall is your tire?
