Are there any aluminum flywheels available for the Honda GC190? A guy I did a job for gave it to me since he couldn't get it to run right. It came off his log splitter. The fuel pump in it was shot. I retrofited a Briggs 5hp flywheel to it (it fts almost perfectly! Just needed a few minor bends and a spot cut) and I think it would be a great engine for my mini bike. I was just wondering if there were aluminum flywheels available for this thing or one that could be made to work even if I have to mount the coil in a different spot. I would like to be able to get more rpm out of the engine without a governor without worrying about it blowing apart. I'll post some pictures of the flywheel cover on there when I get the pull starter figured out. Thanks!

Here it is. Got the pull cord working. Just trimmed the plastic one to slide right into the briggs cover. Just need to drill a few new holes and bolt it on.

That’s the overhead cam engine. Extra rpm is not advised on that engine because of the plastic camshaft?
I wasn't aware ot had a plastic cam. I'm probably better off building up one of my 5hp Briggs engines then. Thanks!

You put a 5hp standard cast iron 5hp flywheel on that Honda? And you know how to time it even if it doesn’t use a key? I have this info fresh from my cdi bracket deal.

NOW if you feel safe enough and are capable of making that engine run with the briggs flywheel an ARC briggs flywheel would work in place of the cast iron 5hp flywheel you made work already. I say build the briggs..

But look how you have to build them to mimic half an OHV’s power... So I say build an OHV..E1B85B1C-6928-4207-9DA9-A427D3CE127F.jpeg

No, I just swapped the fan shroud, not flywheels. Is that a tillitson saw carb on that? How does that head cool? Or does that engine run on alcohol?

It’s not an HL Tillotson saw carb it’s the bigger HR model for snowmobiles. The head is just used for test runs and I’ll swap it for a finned raptor head later.

Why are you posting about your flat head junk on a thread about ohc Honda junk?
Because we’re not rich and we like junk :auto: I’m still busy workin how to find out how I can stage events to make millions of dollars like jake/Tyson. IF I can find out how to get paid millions for reading a script I’ll buy us all billet custom blocks and whatever we all want. We each get a Lamborghini also!0352C6ED-4276-4272-8E39-47B5C9B9BC1A.jpeg

Could I trade the Lambergeeni for a new Corvette ZO6 or what ever the fastest one is?
I’ll buy you both! Use the money from the sold lambo to make a dream Corvette.

I‘d roll around my country hick town in a ghost.

BUT the rolls engine would be removed and replaced with a 212cc like the predator truck. And I would of course have millions so I’d stick the rolls engine on the cross kart
