Gasoline, Petrol, Gas Cans, Etc.

I wanted to get a new gasoline container strictly for my go karting and dirt biking needs but didn't like the cheap junk available in most stores. I wanted something; 1. easy to pour, 2. leak-free and 3. durable and as most people know, there's EPA mandates in place that basically eliminate that first and second variable. So I got this 5 gal/20 liter jug. Ran across it just via Gewgle and heard good things about it. Found a very competitive price too, from Xtreme Diesel Performance.

It's supposed to pour very fast and it's not legal for fuel storage.

I hate those stupid EPA cans. What a pain in the rear. and you end up spilling a lot more Gas trying to use them. Typical Govt BS.

Speaking of gasoline or petrol (better names for it than the scientifically ambiguous "gas"), I use this site to find places that sell 100% gasoline. http://www.pure-gas.org/

From now on I will only use E0 high octane guzzoline. The motor bike requires it and that 10% ethanol gas or ethanol in any concentration is bad news for carburetor vehicles.

Why can't they sell more E98 and E85 and stop with the E10/E15. Also I tried ordering gas can from Walmart and they canceled my order not sure when they will be back in stock. Twice this has happened over the go kart. I took two glass juice containers down to fill my tank cause its the best I have at the moment.

I'm all for ethanol. Just let it be an option. I'm building a couple ethanol engines, and to be honest it's the cheapest race gas there is.

Gas jug works great; it is odor free (I cannot smell gasoline on it or through it), no spills or leaks and yet it doesn't have an O ring or any kind of gasket to be concerned about.

Make sure you have several fire extinguishers handy--gasoline fumes in a home are dangerous.

Well I just did a little research on these goofy gas spouts. Knowing that it was some sort of Stupid cat Government Mandate I assumed it was to prevent gas fumes from polluting the Ozone layer and help Prevent so called "Global Warming".
Well it is even dumber than that!
The gas cans are impossible to use due to ASTM F2517. WTF? Well ASTM F2517 is:

Standard Specification for Determination of Child Resistance of Portable Fuel Containers for Consumer Use.

It is so Children cannot play with, spill, or use a can can!
Really!!! COME ON!!!
How am I supposed to teach my son the responsibility of Mowing my lawn every week if the Govt has now made it impossible for him to put GAS in THE MOWER!!!!

Let's explore the milk jug as a gasoline container. I'd honestly never considered it because it's stupid, too thin and cheap. I know gasoline will dissolve a styrofoam cup and lesser materials, so there's a reaction there, but a one gallon milk jug can work in a pinch; out of gas on the side of the road and all you have is a milk jug? Temporary use only and you should be fine(?).

Just to be sure FR is talking about this, correct?

Your laws over there must be more lax than here...

In Australia, it's against the law (large fines apply) for filling a non approved container with fuel... which is the main reason I didn't comment until now, we don't have much choice what we use, we use what we're told to, which is what's on store shelves...

I dont use those stupid twist then push to allow fuel to go thru the so called vented spout.
I use this kerosene pumper that once close to full oped the little air valve and stop the flow.
