gas welding

i have a gas welding setup and need to know what size tip to use for welding steel 1/4 to 3/8 in thick and its a marquette setup! thanx jim:surrender:

What/Why are you welding that thick with an A/O torch, surely a mig will do easily enough?

Rod will be most likely 3/16- 1/4", I cant find the pressures....

If you have a civilian sized torch set, about the only way you're going to gas weld that thick of material is if you use your rose bud (heating tip). Your cutting tip is to focused. And while I don't doubt that the parts are available somewhere, I've never seen them; mainly because if someone has to weld that thick of material, they're reaching for the Arc welder, because the fuel costs to do it with gas are just outrageous...

Why would you need to do this? More information please...:useless:
