1 - I think your Karts ace, looks a bunch of fun
2 - I laughed at the commentary on the video. 'No problem for superwoman' when the chain came off lol.
3 - Your gorgeous.

Since you've got the disk already I highly suggest a different caliper, be it mechanical (your tires are small enough where it would work assuming you don't get the smaller cheaper one) or even a good hydraulic brake (which would obviously work the best).

You can even check with a local motorcycle scrap yard to see about getting one off a wrecked bike. This would be the cheapest route.

i would say your geometry is way out in the front end, but you have all the parts a nice welder and ambition. do a little research on the front end and it can be rebuilt right. nice work on you your first! you on the east coast? maybe i can help.

Thanks so much guys. I think i'm gonna rebuild the cart from scratch. I kinda want a dune buggy with balloon tires. I found some really cool sand tires on eBay that would be great for ripping up the beach. I would really appreciate some suggestions with respect to tire size (links would be helpful), engine size for a sand dune buggy, and breaking system. Also, what kind of metal do you guys normally use for framing? I used square bar that i paid too much for because i bought it at Lowes. I was thinking about using tubing this time around which would allow me to fish mouth the tubes and also bend it. Can you all recommend a diameter and wall gauge that would be structurally appropriate? Thanks so much!

For the record, square tube is "tube", too.

Judging by your budget, the best advice I can give you is to purchase pre-engineered plans. They will contain all the info you need, including tubing requirements and recommended tire sizes.
