Just when I thought I kicked the idea of the 200cc 5 speed minibike.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LIFAN-200CC...CLE-DIRTBIKE-GO-KART-I-EN25-SET-/370765613865

I really do need to look into something like that, as my ultimate build and use it on a kart that I can turn into a shifter kart.

What a screamer it would be.

Predators are nice and all, but with all the performance parts, upgrades and $$$ cost, they'll still eventually grenade themselves trying to replicate the performance of that Lifan engine.

It's basically a copy of a Honda XL200 engine, except with electric start.

If I was an expert I wouldn't be here trying to gather information on a build. I just get tired of the stupid remarks...i.e.: rocket fuel. I read what you guys say and take it in. I understand the whole fuel thing and how I should stick to regular fuel. I appreciate everyone's help but have little tolerance for smart asses. I should expect it as it seems like most forums are like that. Have a nice day.

Sefrayser, I know of nowhere else that you can get the quality and quantity of information that you get here, all for free.
If you can't handle a little ribbing, and some sideways humor here and there, then maybe you should seek help elsewhere.
Everyone will still be here when you get back. :D

You are a 100% right. The knowledge on here is great. I have learned a lot of good info. I just wished things would stay on point and not go somewhere else. I can take ribbing just as good as the other guy. Just trying to take all the info in and don't have time for the distractions. I look at it this way, if I don't have anything constructive to say I move on.

Has the idea of propane instead crossed your mind? It's higher octane, but you get less bang vs gas like 20% less.

Sounds cool can you explain how this would work? Would I have to change a lot parts if I tried this? Does this work like NOS. ? As you can tell I'm interested in this idea.

No idea really. I see a lot of indoor equipment that runs on propane, like a 40lb bottle. Think it's a different carburetor all together. On here people have talked about running Propane in the past, but no one has said how to do it and I've never seen kits for Predator engines, nor have I seen kits for Briggs and Stratton engines, even though those are the engines you most commonly see with propane on it for Indoor cleaning machines.

If I could find the carb kit say for a Briggs, it would not be hard to modify that carb for a Predator engine.

Sorry I tried to post a picture of the Kohler engine manual. It has a section that talks about fuel systems. Gas systems take a special regulator. They have been making them for years. I have one on my Briggs home generator.

Propane on a gasoline engine has to be run on liquid propane. It also has to have a heat exchanger to keep the liquid from freezing. Works great on small engines. Probably a little heavy for for a gokart. IDk. Most grilles and heaters run on vapor so doesn't need a heat exchanger.

Far as I know there's only l.p.g sold. Could make a manifold and run a couple 2lb bottles for like a Mr. Heater.

Your right but there is two different bottle types. One type dispenses from liquid side which has an inner tube to pick up liquid only. That's why a liquid bottle is a one position bottle. Vapor bottle pulls from the top only. If you turn a vapor bottle upside down the bottle valve could freeze up it is possible but not practical to use propane in the a/c in a vehicle.

Really When someone says something sarcastic like rocket fuel I came back with Jp5 or Jp6. Im a HazMat technician and I know flash points and vapor density of flammable liquid...

So you come back and say oh, you were actually being sarcastic all along and not just being a hair-brained n00b.

Joke's on us. I for one could not detect your sarcasm.

If this is the case and you really do possess some foreknowledge of the subject at hand, then you were acting in the manner of a troll bait. You knowingly invited the ire of the forum for some personal jollies or something.

I can appreciate that I guess. :feedtroll:

And now you don't care what fuel you use...

Some guys love ribbing new people especially when they can't tell sarcasm. I just ignore it and look for better answers.
