fuel tank question

I want to do a different tank on my bar stool racer than the one on my Harbor Freight 6.5hp engine.

Is there a very inexpensive keg type resource that someone can point me to a website where I can convert one of these to a tank?

OR

How hard is it to make a fuel tank? Anyone with some directions?

i used a aluminium water bottle on my gokart, its real easy all you go to do is drill a hole in the bottom and put in an air fitting and slide the gas line over it and clamp it down with a hose clamp

Did you vent the cap? You can buy thos aluminum water bottles at wal mart for like $5. I would think the 6.5 tank would look better that a water bottle though. Look at some racing kart tanks and a fuel pump. Or a mini fuel keg made for gas.

The smaller beer mini kegs are to thin to use.

I used a fire extinguisher; I'm working on sealing the inside and finding a clean way to vent it.

i didvent the cap, i drilled a hole in th top and put in a wd-40 hose nd it works grate,i just used the old cap and it hassent melted or any thing bu the rubber washer that was in there did

can you get an O ring for it, or does it not leak?

it dosent leak because the threads are so tight. u dont need to o ring as it turns out
