Hello...once again! How do you remove this sprocket? How much chain slack is too much? Thank you

Howdy,

The sprocket (& brake rotor) look like they can be simply unbolted from their respective hubs
...but, those hubs (sprocket & rotor) seem to be welded onto that axle

Why do you want to remove the sprocket?
Yes, that is "way" too much slack (in the last pic) :smiley_omg:

Usually any "slack" in the chain can be adjusted out by sliding/moving the engine (away from the sprocket)
...or sometimes a "spring loaded" chain tensioner

Can you post pics of how is the engine mounted?
...& the rest of the "drive train"?

* Also, it's NOT a good practice to "jack up" your kart by the axle
...as it can bent, prettily easily...that way :ack2:

Thank you for the advice! All new to this. The engine mount is slotted, what's the best way to make sure it's straight? Amazon clutch which I am considering putting a comet on. Predator 212

Hey I have that same axle! Right, hubs are welded. Sprocket gets unbolted and slid off to the right. Rotor gets unbolted and slid off the left.

Now I have a question. What are those black collars just outside the bearing with the lock screws? In place of that, I have a triangular plate with an automotive type seal.
