hydro, or mechanical? Either way it's possible. If hydro check your fluid levels, check for leaks. If mechan spray the mech with some pb and try to work it out. Make sure you do not spray your pads! Make sure to check all lines, cables, etc.
On is your best friend use that and some 80 100 oil in with it keep everything lived up the old spring in hydraulic brakes GeTs jammed when there is no liquid in the brake I work on vintage AIRheart brakes all the time I've done 4 so far including one really really old one
