I'm in the process of putting together a shifter kart, and im confused on how to fit front brakes and what sort of components i need to attach and get it to work, like special rims or spindles ? atm i have the spindles that require the wheels with bearings inside and i just dont see how i can fit brakes to them

On my spindles, there's enough place to put a hydraulic brake between. Give us a pic or two and we should be able to see if you can mount if there.

As the others already said, you need to get a break disk hub, a brake disk ofcourse and the caliper. Not entirely sure how they attach the caliper to the fram. You might want to wait till anderskart pops in.

You'll need to have another master cilinder aswell I guess. One with a bigger volume so you can control all 3 brakes (2 front and 1 rear) at the same time.

Ham, there's several different designs used on various brands of shifterkarts, but this pic shows how the caliper would bolt to mounting tabs welded onto the spindles arm:

The rotor hub would have inner/outer bearing's, and be held on with a lock nut at the end:

Then, this this type of design would use 50mm. rear wheel hubs (with a key) to simply clamp around the rotors hub, like this pic shows:
