So what do you do when you have a one wheel peel go kart and can't afford a live axle kit and have a bunch of scrap metal around. You make a reverse trike of course! Or a t-rex go kart whatever you want to call it. Basically just cut the rear of the frame off behind the seat and built from scratch a rigid swing arm type rear frame. Put it all together and make sure its functional and slightly sketchy. Then take it apart and paint it...wait for it.
..rose gold! (From left over rattle cans from my wife's projects) I think it looks pretty good. The engine is a stock 212 with the Gov removed, a homemade header, and a slightly drilled out main jet. I'll probably put the engine back on tomorrow and take it for a baseline top speed run.

I find no reason not to like this.

Well, the brake pull has a touch of the angles, but donuts will always work in a pinch.

The original kart from what I can find from the sticker under 50 coats of old paint says "The Eagle Series". All I could find on the net was a defunct company called minat. Not sure what it really is though. But in any case it made a good donor for the project..my next project is going to be a drift trike. Just not sure of the specifics yet.
