Hello all!! Thought I would join this forum to help me do some work on the go kart I acquire from my father-in-law to do up for my step son's 6th birthday. Quite a bit of work needs to be done and so far I've had a blast working on it. I may just be riding this thing more than he will!! See ya 'round!

Welcome to the forums man, thats one old Manco kart. If you have any questions we'll be here to help you out. Where in East Texas? I graduated from SFA.

Born, raised and residing in Longview, TX! I actually browsed your website a few times before I drove to Houston to get this cart. Wish I would have had more time to swing by your shop while I was in town. Maybe next time!

Cool deal man, I'm glad to see people actually see the site. I know its not that big or nice but It does its job. Longview is nice man. Yeah, If you need any random parts for your Manco tell us, the coolest thing we've got us a large supply of Manco aluminum wheel halves... thats something hardly anyone I know has, most people have 1-3 of them, we've got an aisle.

Haha, an entire aisle? Wow. Yeah, I dig deep for the best info I can get for any project I get involved in and I always find the best places are forums full of people who have been there, done that. The internet is just awesome.

Yeah, I agree. From your project it looks like someone switched the wheels in the history of the kart strange enough... Is it not using the aluminum 6 spoke rims from Manco? We had 2 karts of this design in for repair last week, a Two Malie and a Lime Limo

The wheels are solid two piece. Five inch in the rear, four inch in the front. I really don't know if he did this as a kit or just pieced it together or even got it from someone else that changed the wheels. My wife told me that her brother rolled it once, so maybe he bent some of the aluminum wheels..who knows!
