Lol. What if you used hollow core coils instead of the steel core that they use on the motors? Very little resistence there but still sone

Nope, the steel/iron core is what amplifies the magnetic forces. Without it the motor wouldnt have enough power to turn itself lol or enough to generate anything useful.

EDIT: I'd just like to say something, whilst I am saying that its impossible and everything, please dont let me stop you from trying and having fun at the same time. Without people trying to do things that are believed impossible or non existant the world will never progress, 100 years ago scientists thought that most things had already been discovered. Look how much has changed since then. Its quite possible that many of the things we believe about physics are false, unlikely but possible none the less. I personally believe we know most things correctly about basic physics. Quantum physics is a whole new ball game though. Good Luck.

Yea it's definitely possible to make them, an engineering company from my region has recently unveiled their own electric supercar which uses a ironless electric motor.....that one had me stumped til I read into it haha. Forgotten what it was though. Its called the Varley evR450....looks like a koeniggsegg.

But yea, I have heard of it being done but I dont know how the normal person could do it. I think it would take incredible skill both in physics and engineering....and lots of cool tools. If you have all that go for it If not.....Might as well still give it a shot.......I still say it wont work for creating perpetual motion though

I did it on electric cars and part of that was high performance cars
