Denny
Canned Monster
He is neither a maniac or trying to destroy your kart. He is scientifically trying to stress the components to their failure point.

Actually i believe what l said s i couldnt make it move under its own power with a centrifugal clutch. That was my first attempt at building a kart. And l built that before l discovered this national depository karting wisdom. I had no idea what lwas doing and like a lot of beginners l thought a clutch was the only option. Then l became a stalker here and read about these torque converter things. I then thought well this clutch thing is worthless and what have l got to lose, besides a few bux? And yeah he had a blast with it, but it beat the crap out of him. Then l decided we needed suspension, and the rest is history. Now I heard you say a while back that you could hardly make that one move on its own power
have a feeling if you and I were neighbors we would scare everyone else out of the neighborhood with some of our creations. If I need a piece of equipment I used to just build it. You need to pass on those skills to the youngsters!I really built this junk cuz I like building junk. I don't care for models or other stuff that just sits on a shelf, I prefer practical junk that can be used.
The grand brats just happen to be the reciepients of my choice of junk!
You have no idea how much "operational junk" there is here on the ranch...
One maybe, the other, its not happening. I can't help with video games! You need to pass on those skills to the youngsters!
Now those were the normal priorities of young men 50 some years ago. I got a cell phone in 1987 for work, had one since. Now l hate the f*****g thing. I “lose” it every chance l get. Just can’t understand the phone mentality of young people today.I had three interest. GIRLS, CARS, and BEER. Well and getting to work so as to earn money so I could pursue the other three.
I didn't have a phone until 5 or 6 years ago. The wife...."made" me get one. I put my phone on the toolbox to play music. A ton better than the radio! Now those were the normal priorities of young men 50 some years ago. I got a cell phone in 1987 for work, had one since. Now l hate the f*****g thing. That’s one of the few things I use my ‘mobile device’ for.I didn't have a phone until 5 or 6 years ago. The wife...."made" me get one. I put my phone on the toolbox to play music. A ton better than the radio!
Id rather have a chevy than a darn phone. I'm pretty sure it wouldnt cost $0.35 to run a truck for a min back in those days.FYI in 1987 a cell phone was $3500. Service was $0.35 / min - no plans, and all it did was make and receive phone calls.
Yea, I couldn’t afford a fancy new truck like that. For those of us that weren’t rich guys like Denny, regular gas was about a buck/gallon.
oh and a new 3/4 ton silverado was $16500.
