Frame ideas for a Supremly fat man

Hi awesome forum, i am around the 300 range and 6'4 height. i basicly need some ideas for a frame.i want to build a fairly simple go kart i thermes of design, but it also need to hold my weight lol. i also have a 17 hp engine, whould it be enough for my weight? thanks folks

17hp is plenty of power for your weight. If you run across a Torque Converter be sure to snag it.

Find a big two seater yard kart. Modifiy that to fit you and your engine. Or look for a cheap basket case Honda Odyssey FL250 to fix up. Do you have a active Craigslist? Is your 17hp engine horizonal shaft?

At 300lbs we are never going to win any races. But an Odyssey FL250 will pack us around all day and be happy. No need to worry about your feet for they have hand controls.

I am also your size at 6'2 275lbs. The Odyssey is perfect for me. This is the last basket case I picked up for cheap. It has all the making I need to make it cool. The last pic is what I do to them.

get some thick square tubing. steel, probably 1 1/2 x 1 1/2. a flat frame with several uncut square tubes. also when you weld the joints you should make sure that they are clean and strong
