support the rear bearing hangers more, other than that it looks great, thats gonna be one longggggg frame

Get the seat you want to use and place it on a cement floor and sit in it with your legs straight out. Now take measurements, width at your ash your feet and shoulders , length and height allow 4" above your head. Now you have a start.

some triangulation on where the joints are, to support it more and stop it flexing, last thing you want is it to fold up if you flip it

personally id do it more like this
a bit more triangulation to the back end and stronger roll cage
i dont know the practicallity of the added bar in the side of the cage
im no engineer but i assume this is what others were talking about

Ok now how would I get in lol jk I get what your sayin bit that looks a bit over done. I copied most of it from different pictures of sand rails so I dought it'll fold up depending th material I use.

Which brings me to the question what a strong light material that I can use I know some square tubing will be need but I'm more comfortable working with round tubing?

ok so the bar across the cage is overkill but the back end is probs nessecery

u would have to reseach what most people use as material

I mean what size tubing standard 1"?

And I wanted to use my kohler but I'm having doubts it would cut it so that's still a question floating around my head and suspension in the rear would be a single swing and probably the same in the front. Still researching the front suspension any suggestions?

if you have a pipe benders then round tubing is going to be easier to work with, as with square you need to cut more angles and they each have to be precise. For the square tubing i would go with 25mm (0.98") 3mm(0.12") wall thickness, i find it is the easiest to work with

Cool thanks man I don't own a pipe bender but I have one at my disposal so I think I might mix it up and use mainly round tubing and square tubing in some joints

Since you're making a chassis similar to a space frame you can get away with lighter gauge material. I would use 25mm x 1.6mm wall tubing. Thicker wall tube is just adding weight. If you want more strength go to 30mm x 1.6mm wall or even 40mm x 1.6mm wall for the main frame rails.

Yea then I have some material in mind Ill post it up later and I'm be using a simple bucket seat.

I need some feed back on front suspension so I'll post that up later on tonight after a bit more research

put a cross bar over the roof area an one bar from the back of your seat area an through to the front i have a roll cage in my race car an that is the rule for safty so just in case an have a net on both side so if u roll ur arms will stay inside. nice looking cage
