Well.....again....as previously requested....post up a pic of that label you are interpreting as 285-281, because that's not a valid model #.....

285- ? may be valid....tho.....for instance: mine is a 415D-09....

Here is a breakdown of many Manco karts on the American Sportworks site. Go to the 285 section, there are parts illustrations for several models. Hope this helps. I'm not sure full manuals are available anymore.

Thanks

Here are two master lists of Manco kart models. I usually copy & paste a particular model in Google to research. You may have to use the zoom function to increase the size of the 1st list.

*For the thread lurkers

The OP was having a problem because he could not find a manual or parts breakdown for his exact 285-281 model and it probably doesn't exist in cyberspace. I think it is safe to say the manual listings that are available around the web are incomplete. I think Manco went defunct before they had them all digitally scanned and by then, no one cared because they were no longer being manufactured.

For all intents and purposes, it IS a Manco "Dingo" as most people know them, by the frame appearance and features, but that one is a "Red Fox LXT". The Manco 285 karts went by many names as seen in this list:

The first link works but not the rest. As some are aware, American Sportworks is the old name. Landmaster is the current name of the entity formerly known as Manco/American Sportworks. I'm just putting out the info to save folks some trouble.

Luckily for us, Landmaster now provides a little more info than the usual parts breakdowns (aka the Owner's Manual Supplements). This supplemental info includes some procedures, assembly instructions, service instructions, diagrams etc but only for a few products so that pretty much confirms they have never provided manuals for everything they've ever produced.
