The real issue with that axle is the very same thing that stopped me from using a golf cart axle on the build I'm planning. The gear ratio is WAAAAY too low, at 13.25:1. Bloody criminal, too. I would have killed to use it.

Where's your math coming from? At 3600rpm, 26" tire, and 14:1, I'm getting 19.89 MPH on the speedcalc program I use... And smaller tires will be slower yet.
Believe me, I burnt out several neurons trying to figure out any way I could use one. Unfortunately, Every story was the same. I'd have to feed it around 10,000 rpm to get a satisfactory result. And there's no chance I'm going to have standard b*ll**it driveline parts turning 10K. That's a disaster waiting to happen. FYI, that meant overdriving the tranny output about 1:3 on a jackshaft into the axle.

Ok I have been slacking on these pictures so here they are...

This is when I first got it....

It was electric and I want to make it gas powered...

This the current state it is in need to discard the 9" modified rear-in for a trans axle possibly with reverse?Any ideas for a swing arm style setup?

This break setup on it stops very well. Replaced the brake cable with all thread with double nuts.

Motor is a Briggs 11hp I/C electric start. Older motor but fires right up.

I will take better pictures and try to get them up this week.
