Forum Help-How To Edit A Thread Title?

When making a change to a thread, how do you edit the title, to alert everyone to the change? I hit "EDIT" but when I play with the title, it only appears in the thread itself, it doesn't change the title in the thread list. Please enlighten me, I'm stumped...

Yup no problem i think Robert should change it around if he can so that the starter of the thread can edit it.

I've edited my own thread titles. I just clicked on the Edit link right below my first post, then Go Advanced, then changed my title and clicked on the Save Changes link.
