ey guys,
I found a forklift motor on ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.de/Fahrmotoren-Fahr...51?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_77&hash=item4aab39c453
It is a motor that drives the forklift. It has plenty of power (4kW on 24v). I wonder how to get a chaindrive on it. Does the shaft have to be manufactured?
Thats a hydraulic pump motor of a forklift.

What will I see when getting of the hydraulic front part of the motor?

First, where do you want to put this motor in?

The first motor is sepex motor, and you need a sepex controller and a programer to use this motor:worried2:
The pump motor is a (series wound) forklift Power steering motor, you will have a problem with the shaft.( leave this one out)

Try and look for an series wound traction motor, as pump motor seam to be a problem with the shaft.

My motor was pump motor, but I spent lost money on modified the shaft as it will be only for racing purpose.:auto:

Can you guess the power of this motor? How do you know it is series wound?

I'm a forklift technician and I have a forklift junk yard

How do you attach a sprocket on it? And again, how much power does this motor have? The datasheet only says, it runs on 24v.
