Ford Lights FAIL. I need help.

Each light needs to be grounded, whether its though a wire or mounting on the light. Check the fuse first off, may have blown it.

This is the way they ground it. the screw touches the metal therefor grounding it. NOW. there is cilicone sealant round every hole. could this be doing it?

if u put the silicone down first then screwed it in then it is likly the screw is covered in a fine coating of it

but if the silcone was put down arfter the screw was tightend then no

Im so mad right now. i put the silicone down first. is there any way to avoid having to pull the lights off and redo it?

no u will have to remove the light and clean the silicone off first

Wiring is like a god **** puzzle I hate it. I will never be an electrician. All I can say is make sure each light has a really good ground. That was my problem was it wasn't grounded right. Double check all the splices and ur grounds.

Okay I cooled down over night and got a good night of rest. I will now proceed to go through all the work I did yesterday. Thanks alot guys! If it doesnt work i think im gonna bring it somewhere cuz I cant just have lights that dont work!

Didn't even open the video once I saw a wire nut on the preview window... If that's how you set up all the wiring, you need to go back and do it over the proper way. Solder and shrink tube.

I get what you are saying about doing it the right way. I dont have a sotter though, maybe my uncle does, I will check up with him on that. heres the status. I blew the 12v fuse so i went to radio shack and picked up like 15 20 fuses and got the switch to light up! But no lights on the cab... I have my test light and thats not lighting up. i hate this...

You need to get a 12-volt test light so you can test for power from your source, through your switch and to each of the lights. Unless you have a testlight or a voltmeter your just guessing at the problem here.

If your lights aren't picking up a good ground from where they're bolted on, you'll find your testlight will light up when you touch it to the lights metal housing...

Another easy test to check for missing ground to the lights would be temporarily connecting a long wire from your battery's negative terminal to the lights housing. If that light suddenly started working when doing this, you'd know for sure you're just dealing with a grounding problem.

I have figured it all out! They all work, I had my tester and it said there was power going into the switch but not out, took the light switch off of my tractor and they work perfectly! So a couple hours of work, and about 5 fuses later, i have working lights! Thank you to everyone for their helpful insight!
