I traded for a briggs and stratton flathead engine and it works good, but, when the guy wants to kill the engine he taps an exposed wire that hangs out the top of to the case of the engine.

I don't like that at all for me or my son and wanted to know hoe do I install a kill switch?

It's the 5hp briggs raptor I believe

Simpler terms: Hook that wire (with another piece of scrap wire) to one side of a switch that has 2 screws on it or 2 wires hanging from it, that you've mounted where you can slap that switch in a quick hurry if needed to stop the motor. Hook the other screw or other wire on the other side of the switch to any engine bolt with another piece of scrap wire.
You will have basically made that existing wire a lot longer, with a "kill" switch in the middle of it, and already touching the engine to kill the motor. You just have to slap the switch to make it a continuous piece of wire to ground out and kill the motor.
After yanking the pullrope 20 times to crank it up again, turn the kill switch back on and kick yourself in the behind for forgetting about it.

My kid used to say "Wally" until I spelled voila for him. Let him go back to "Wally" when he argued and swore voila isn't pronounced like that. Oh well, won't be the first time he learns sense after silly.

Lol you guys are a trip. While I have your attention, will a 212 mount work for a flathead briggs? I have tried to slot this sheet of metal but I'm no good at it

The mount that was on this ct100 I found had some weird mount that didn't fit anything.
are you referring to the stamped piece bolted to the 3hp engine?

the mounts on the bike frame should fit just fine. can barely see it in pic here.
