So xmas shopping and drinking, I've decided my 15? Yr old 3D cell maglight isn't cutting it anymore, except as a weapon!

Santa got me this

I opened it and checked it out, it's ok, it's what I'd expect a 13$ flashlight to perform, like a kick *** free hf freebie.

now I'm looking around for better, anyone have what they consider the best golly darn flashlight, that's not 180$

I've got one somewhere (a 4D) when it was the thing to have. I think they retrofit them now with those high intensity LEDs.

I guess then the 4 D's would be severe overkill in the power department.

I've had a few tactical flashlights in my time. Surefires are nice. I have a Pelican M6, the Xenon lamp type too, both of the former use CR 123 batteries which are sort of "niche" and pricey.

My current favorite was free; a finders keepers free.
It's a LUX-PRO LP500. Sort of a mid grade tactical light with a three-function end-cap switch. I like it a lot, it takes 3 AAA in an inner holder.

I watched a guy take a 3D mag lite to the mouth one night. It was brutal. It was like the guy already had a mouthful of teeth and blood that just exploded out of his face on impact. Freaking brutal.

I've had it a few months now. Works awesome for $13 and is bright also. It's nice having the recharge function. You only have to charge it for a hour every month and your good to go.

Not well enough to keep a man like me from whipping that hind end when someone thinks a stun gun is a joke. Been there, done that. Fools tend to leave me alone with those now.

It works. But not like a regular one. 2 of my friends were drunk one night and shocked each other. Hahaha. They hit each other for a second and said it was a jolt but not stupid.
